Living well involves taking charge of our health in every area of our life.

Most people spend most of their waking day at work. It is so easy to get caught up in the demands of a job and put personal needs on hold. But as you prepare for your day, it’s important to incorporate time for your wellbeing.

Schedule regular breaks. Step away from your workplace to eat lunch. Go outside for a quick walk. Stretch at your desk or by your workstation. Rest your eyes for a moment. Breathe. While you may feel these small tasks are inconsequential and hinder your productivity, they actually contribute to your good health by preventing illness or injury. And the regular breaks may provide a much needed rest in order to return to your tasks refreshed.

In addition to feeling well, you may actually accomplish more with greater ease.
