Maureen Mattice is a Director and a Member of TQS Lifestyle Association. Recently retired, she has 45 years experience as a Registered Nurse. Maureen graduated from St. Michaels Hospital (SMH) and spent approximately 16 years over the course of her career at SMH, initially as a staff nurse and then later as a manager of a medical unit. “I have always drawn my inspiration from my parents, who taught us the value of taking time to reach out to others. My father with his late night calls for the St. Vincent de Paul society and my mother with her work helping children with special needs and foster care,” says Maureen. “For me, the TQS Transformation initiative is an opportunity to reach out to the community once again. Today, health care extends beyond the traditional practices. It means helping people overcome illness, disability or circumstance to enjoy a healthy and happy life.”
